Ben was born in Tel Aviv, Israel and moved with his family to the U.S. at age 6.  By 8, he was working alongside his father painting and welding rod iron fences and, not long out of high school, he was managing a structural steel construction company overseeing 18 employees.

Ben bought his first home by the time he turned 21, a venture which sparked an interest in real estate from a market perspective.  His love of people and the "rush" he gets from negotiating made a career in real estate a likely choice.  In 2002, Ben joined Rodeo Realty, Inc. in Los Angeles, one of the largest real estate firms in the country, where he consistently ranked among the agency´s top producers and was named one of the top 1% of Rodeo agents in L.A. County in 2009.
 
As changes in the residential real estate market began to surface, Ben quickly recognized opportunities in the REO sector and made the decision to establish his own Los Angeles REO business.  He literally went door-to-door until he signed his first client.  Today, Ben Salem Properties operates out of three locations in Southern California, specializes in Los Angeles area foreclosures, REOs and bank-owned properties and the company´s client list includes several high-ranking banks, mortgage servicers, and outsourcers with accounts in both the residential and commercial real estate markets.

Ben Salem Properties is actively involved in the community, putting a particular focus on helping distressed homeowners with relocation assistance.  The company also works with a nonprofit organization dedicated to finding new homes for abandoned animals left behind in foreclosure, providing pet adoption and relocation assistance as well as financial support to make it possible for foreclosed homeowners to find new, pet-friendly housing.

When Ben´s not thinking about the market, he enjoys the outdoors, particularly the thrill of winter sports.  By age 18, he competed professionally for Rossignol Snowboards and still finds time to enjoy the sport each year with his family.
